Here we go! Starting off 2025 on the right foot. I said I was gonna make this weekly and here I am. My goal is to have these newsletters out every Monday. The format may change from time to time but I'm thinking a quick recap of the last week's events, a highlight of any updates, new products, exciting things, etc, and then upcoming events for the next week or two.
Last Week's Recap
As you may know I published our Year in Review & Year Ahead post last week. It was pretty well received. It also announced our new winter hours which have officially started today, Monday, January 6th.
We were closed on NYE and NYD but we still had a fun week last week. Thursday night we had a packed house for RPG Night. Friday we had a great time with our 2nd annual Mana-Claus. For those unaware, Mana-Claus is our version of secret santa. Back in November our regular Magic the Gathering players, who wanted to participate, drew names and built pauper commander decks for each other based on styles they don't usually play. Prizes were awarded to the top players AND the top deck-builder. We also had a few new people join us for Creator Meetup [every Friday night 6pm-11pm]. It's always fun to make new friends. Saturday was a nice turnout for our Inkwells & Espresso writer's group [Every other Saturday from 10am - 12pm] and so much fun with out Blood on the Clocktower group [every Saturday 6pm - 11pm] Sunday was Round 2, Week 3 for our Lorcana League. [every Sunday 12pm - 4pm]
We also had a bunch of new visitors this past week. A lot of new people stopped by for the first time and had a great time. I hope we'll see them again soon.

You can also add Sparkling Water to any refresher.
Our friends at Stained Glass Gifts in Channahon have donated these beautiful works of art to us to raffle off. Proceeds will be going into the cafe for future improvements.
Each ticket is $5 or $20 for 5 tickets. Only for purchase at the cafe. Winners will be drawn on February 1st.
Stained Glass Gifts hosts classes and has their own gift shop on-site at their new facility in Channahon.
